It's just about winter!

Which means Christmas!!

Yay, it's Christmas time!! I decided not to make presents this year. I have knitted other things though. Like....
I made these for the photo contest on the Mochimochi Land blog.
This was one of the pictures I entered,
And this was the other! This picture actually came in second place in the contest. Oh, and I knitted these:

Spinning,and other stuff

I've been spinning lately.
I think it's pretty fun! I've tried it both ways, top whorl and bottom whorl, and I'm not sure which way I like better.

I started over once or twice when I first go started, 'cause I couldn't draft it very well, but I got better at it and left it. Since it's my first handspun,it's obviously not perfect,but I'm pretty happy with it. I think I'm going to ply it.

I haven't knitted or crocheted in like, a month. The only thing I've made it this thing.

Yeah,I'm not really sure what it is. I was in the car,I was bored,and I wanted to use some DPNs. It's not really grey,by the way. It's more of a blue.

Sally's visit to the beach

Sally went to the beach last week. Doesn't she look happy?
She has seen the ocean, and now her life is complete. Well, she doesn't want to die yet,but that's all she really wanted to do in her little yarny life.

Sally the Tiny Mermaid Lady

I made a mermaid. Her name is Sally.

She has a lot of hair.

I'm going to take her to the beach next week,like Abby is. I kind of wanted to give her a smile,but I decided not to. Her hair was really fun to do! It's long than her body!

I decided to make my blog mostly about knitting,crocheting,and yarn stuff. I don't really have much to blog about otherwise. I thought about deleting my blog,but then I thought I could make it a yarny blog!

Earring pattern

Here's my earring pattern....

You need:

A 7/1.65 steel hook
Size 10 thread
Earring wires
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Make an adjustavble ring

Round 1: ch 3, 9 dc in ring, sl st in ch 3

Round 2: ch 2, sc in same st as sl st * ch 1, sc in next dc* around, sl st in first sc

Round 3: sl st in ch 1 space, ch 5,sc in next ch 1 space * ch 4,sc in next ch 1 space* around,sl st in 1 ch,FO

Weave in ends and attach earring wires!

More Chicks

We got two more chicks last Thursday that we know are girls. This one is either Rosie or Sweetie Pie
